“I’d rather have extra space and extra time than extra stuff.”- Francine Jay
For as long as I can remember, books have been a part of me. I can honestly say that there is never a day where I am not reading a book.

As often as I can, I take a break from what I am doing and sit down with my book. Each night, after I climb into bed, I turn on the light and get in as many pages as I can before I inevitably fall asleep.
It’s no surprise that when I decided to embark on this simple living journey, I turned to reading for inspiration and information.
I read blogs, searched articles and checked books out from the library. Basically, I wanted to absorb as much knowledge as possible so I had some kind of direction. I wanted to see how and why others live a simple and minimalist life.
What I found, inspired me more than I could have imagined. More than I could have hoped for.
The remarkable authors behind the books I want to share with you not only reinforced that the changes I was going to make in my life were going to serve me well, but they also made me want to jump headfirst into this way of life.
I was so moved when I was done reading that first book that I brewed a cup of tea and decluttered my vanity.
