“You’re off to great places. Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”-Dr. Seuss
The countdown is on until we say goodbye to the lazy days of summer and say hello to schedules, homework and getting back into routines.
I don’t know about you, but I always have so many mixed emotions when it comes to back to school. I am someone who thrives on structure, so the summer can be a bit difficult to navigate without the normal everyday routine. My daughter didn’t go to camp but instead stayed home this summer and we have been kind of winging it.
On the other hand, I absolutely adore having my daughter home and spending more time with her. I truly miss her when she is at school all day. I love being able to sit and watch TV with her, have no plans and play outside from morning to nighttime if we choose.
Yup, confusing I know.
My little one also feels those mixed emotions starting school again. You know, those back to school jitters.
I always try to make this transition special for her by having a different breakfast on the first day, buying a new outfit and letting her pick out a new backpack and lunchbox. This year, I have found the cutest thing that will make back to school even more special. Let me introduce you to LITTLE NOTES by E. Frances.
You guys, when you see these notes you are literally going to fall in love. Based in Middletown, RI, where they are currently relocating from Newport to an old auto dealership, E. Frances is an adorable company that sells all kinds of paper products, from greeting cards and little notes to gift tags and notepads. Their designs are simple, creative and perfect for any occasion.
With the LITTLE NOTES, you get a pack of 85 cards (yes you read that right, 85) for such an affordable price and you can use them in so many different ways. You can use them as place cards for a dinner party, attach a note to a gift or write your little ones a special message in their lunchbox for back to school.
For my daughter’s first day of school, I am going to surprise her with an encouraging message for her to find in her lunchbox when she opens it. These notes are such a simple way to let your kids know that you love them and are thinking about them. (I may put one in my husband’s lunchbox too, just because!)
I am always looking for little ways to make everyday moments special with my family and LITTLE NOTES are the perfect way to do just that. I mean, is there anything better than handwriting a note to the people you hold closest to your heart?
As you are preparing to send your kids back to school, grab a box of LITTLE NOTES (and maybe a box of tissues) and help make their day even better and memorable. I guarantee you, you will put a smile on those little faces!
Do you have anything that you do for your kids for their first day of school?? I would love to hear any traditions you have! XOXO
