The Sisters

“One lied. One died.”

I saw this book at Barnes and Noble and was immediately intrigued. I mean, how can you walk past a book with those four words on the cover? I requested it from my library and finished it in three days. It was SO good and I have already recommended it to all of my book nerd friends!

If you are a fan of stories like Gone Girl or Girl On A Train, you need to pick this book up and dive right in! The Sisters by Claire Douglas is a book about secrets, family and moving on. The main character, Abi, loses her identical twin sister and is trying desperately to make a life for herself.

When she meets a beautiful girl in the middle of town, Bea, she is quickly thrust into a life of money, drama and infatuation. Strange things start happening and Abi is forced to take a deeper look inside the lives of her new friends and her emotional state.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book was that it keeps you guessing! Up until the very last sentence, you don’t know what is going to happen next. Just when you think you have it figured out, think again! I also really love the way Douglas writes and I will definitely be reading more of her books. She takes you on a wild ride from the unstable thoughts of Abi to the paranoid mind of Bea. Buckle up and hold on tight!

When you start reading The Sisters, just plan on cancelling all your plans and staying home all weekend! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! 🙂
