“May your foundation match your neck, concealer be creaseless & winged eyeliner be sharp enough to kill. Amen.” – Rebel Circus
Oh, Boxycharm. You’ve done it again!
When this little box shows up in my mailbox, I do a happy dance! Each month, I am able to try products that I either have never heard of before or honestly can’t fit into my budget to buy them myself.
This month was no different! I have read online that a lot of people’s palettes came broken but I am thanking the makeup gods that mine was all in tact! I have been using most of the products since my box arrived and I am OBSESSED!
There is one thing that came in the box that I am not really fond of but I will break down each product below! I will also link to where you can buy the products yourself if you don’t get the box! Here we go…
Dr. Brandt – Pores No More Luminizer Primer
I have literally been using this primer since I got it and I can’t get enough! When I first felt the product, I was hesitant to use it because it is sticky and kind of tacky feeling. I was so excited when I put it on for the first time! It is so smooth on my skin! My foundation goes on so nice over top of it and it gives the slightest bit of glow to your skin. A little bit goes a long way too so you don’t need to use a ton of product. The best part? It doesn’t make my sensitive skin break out or become irritated! Score! This is definitely one thing I will be using in my morning routine! Grab one at Sephora, aka the best store ever, for $38.00.
Crown Pro – Glam Metals Eyeshadow Palette
You guys, these colors are to die for! Since subscribing to Boxycharm, my palette game is at an all time high! But even with all the different palettes that I have, these colors are honestly so unique and I don’t have anything with some of these colors. I wish there were one or two more matte shadows, for the transition shades, but I can easily use a few from my other palettes. I wore Wild Thing and The Wicked the other day and it was beautiful! This is definitely a keeper! You can buy this palette from the Crown website for $25.00.
Grande Cosmetics – Hydrating Lip Plumper in Sunset Orange
Okay, I have to be honest in this review for you guys. I am not loving this product for two reasons! The first reason is that I literally can’t get the product to come into the applicator. The instructions inside say that you have to either click the bottom or turn it, which I have done both more times than I can count and no product has come up! So I haven’t even been able to try it on my lips which is a bummer. The second thing I am not loving is the color. Now, to be fair, I may really love it once it on but since I haven’t been able to apply it yet I am just going by what I see. Unfortunately, for me, this isn’t one I am thrilled with! You can buy this lip plumper from Sephora for $27.00.
Pur Cosmetics – Bronze and Brighten Cheek Palette
I can’t get over how much I adore this palette! The colors are so gorgeous and look beautiful on my very fair skin! As soon as I opened the palette I swatched the colors on my arm and knew I would love it. I love a good highlight, who doesn’t?, and I have been using this one everyday on my cheeks and nose! The blush is subtle and adds just a little something to the skin. I definitely recommend this palette! Coming soon to the Pur Cosmetics website for $34.00!
IT Cosmetics – Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil
Okay, full disclosure… I am NOT good at doing my eyebrows! I mean, I have watched YouTube videos and tutorials like no other but I just can’t seem to get it right! This eyebrow pencil made it so much easier than some of the other products that I have! The first time I used it, I definitely used too much pressure and wound up with very dark eyebrows which did not look cute. When I use a light hand however, the color comes out beautifully and looks great! You can get this pencil for $12.00 at Macy’s right now!
There you have it! All the products from the January Boxycharm! Do you use any of the products that came in our box this month? Comment below! I would love to hear from you! XOXO
